Who doesn’t love turmeric lattes? I definitely love them, especially when the ingredients are bang-on! When I received my Prairie Naturals fermented turmeric from Vista Magazine I knew I could make a typical turmeric latte with it, but I wanted to switch things up! SO, I made a bite sized turmeric latte! These fermented turmeric energy balls are my new favourite thing. These are the perfect afternoon treat because they contain healthy fats, and offer sweetness without the crash! Turmeric is an excellent source of antioxidants and is particularly well-known for helping inflammation.The active ingredient, curcumin, can be found in a lot of pain relief and joint supplements because of its anti-inflammatory properties. Adding raw honey makes these balls equipped with raw enzymes, vitamins, minerals and adding black pepper makes the turmeric more absorbable. The fermented aspect is just the cherry on top! #guthealth

Turmeric Honey Energy Balls:
1 1/4 cup cashews
1/4 dates
1 tsp Prairie Naturals fermented turmeric
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tsp raw honey
2 tbsp coconut manna
1/2 tsp cinnamon
optional: shredded coconut
1. Blend in your food processor or high-powered blender (I used my Vitamix) until combined.
2. Roll into small balls. Optional: roll in shredded coconut– it’s soooooo good!
3. Store in the fridge.
